while i am not going to say out loud that old man winter has left us, i am feeling hopeful that the warmer temps and the slightly longer days are bringing our most powerful and beautiful season here, in north carolina.

in February, i had the opportunity to go to the L’Oreal Professionnel SEM. this was an amazing three days of sales, education, and marketing information. my head was so full of ideas, inspiration and excitement for my craft and my industr,y as well as a deepened confidence in my business partnership with L’Oreal Professionnel.

why oh why is this relevant??? you ask.

our work is organic and continuously changing with the seasons and with the pulse and temperature of the fashion industry. keeping up is challenging in the midst of all of the other things going on in life and in the world.

i am so relieved and grateful for the help and support that keeps me able to maintain my availability to you, my client.

this availability is what makes me able to hear what you want and deliver results. this is a foundation in which to build a look, a relationship, a major style change, a soft manageable shift in color and texture. the possibilities are endless with availability.

this concept has been on my mind for the last month or so and has been something i have been really excited to share with my staff and try to incorporate into a more clear and specific mission for my business.

availability is what makes us open to receive. this is a crucial part of how i try to live my life and am so excited to weave this concept in a practical way into my daily working life.

This Thanksgiving week always gets me thinking about grattitude.

I have had such an amazing year filled with vast amounts of education from L’Oreal, incredible opportunities to provide education to wondeful salons in 3 states, as well as comprehensive education here with our amazing Haven Salon staff.

I am so grateful for knowledge. The information I have and share deepens my experience as a stylist… an artist. It is so wonderful to have creativity also have purpose and structure.

In addition to the creativity, I have watched confidence take flight here in our little beauty sanctuary. All of us have gained confidence through broadening our competence. I am so grateful for the work environment I am in daily. It is a pleasure to be here.

I truly hope that you all will have a warm and comforting holiday filled with nourishing foods and loving company.

Tonight marks yet another exciting “ladies night out” extravaganza!

Hillsborough is met with throngs of women parading up and down the street, dashing into all of the local businesses looking for deals, checking out some new art, clutching cups of wine, and laughing all the way.

tonight, we will be doing a red carpet theme where we, here at Haven, will be the stylists to the stars of our show…you!!!

Look for us at the top of Churton street, on the east side near roomscape. We will have a styling tent at the base of the red carpet where you can be photographed by your very own papparazzi.

Hair, make-up, and all around beauty, is our primary focus. We will also be premiering our first line of salon packages for sale at three different price points. We will have a “get to know us” opening package, a medium sized “get you through the holidays” package and a larger gift package for friends, loved ones or for your husband to come and purchase on decmber 24th when he has been everywhere and come up empty handed… Haven to the rescue!!
